John RIMELL, Coachmaster of Maidenhead
Know all men by these presents that I John Rimell of Maidenhead in the County of Berks, Coachmaster am held and firmly bound to the Reverend John Cooke of the same place, Minister of a dissenting congregation there, in Eight hundred and forty Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to the said John Cooke or his certain Attorney, Executors, Administrators or Assigns for which payment to be well and faithfully made.
I bind myself my heirs, Executors and Administrators and every of them firmly by these presents sealed with my seal dated the tenth day of April in the twenty eighth year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God, of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight.
The condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounden John Rimell, his heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assigns do and shall well and truly pay or trust to be paid unto the above named John Cooke, his Executors, Administrators or Assigns the sum of four hundred and twenty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain at or upon the tenth day of October now next ensuing the date of the above written Obligation with Interest for the same at and after the rate of five Pounds in and for one hundred pounds by the year without any deduction whatsoever according to and in full performance and discharge of the proviso or condition mentioned in one Indenture or Mortgage bearing mandate with these presents made or mentioned to be made between the above bounden John Rimell of the first part, James Hunt of Maidenhead aforesaid Gentleman of the second part, and the said John Cooke of the third part.
And do also well and truly observe fulfill and keep all and singular the covenants, grants, articles, conditions and agreements whatsoever which on his and their parts and behalfs are or ought to be observed performed fulfilled and kept comprized and mentioned in the said retired Indenture and that in all things according to the same intent and meaning thereof and of the parties to the same then this obligation to be void or else to remain in full force.
